How many times have you tried enjoying your new PS3 games and suddenly you can’t retrieve them due to some unidentified errors or unwanted incidents? Instead of enjoying the game continuously, you end up with a pause. You don’t know what to do next. Well, if that is the case, you have two possible options. First is to buy that game once again, and second is to download the same version of that game. For sure, you won’t go for any of these options. Buying the game again will definitely be a waste of money, and downloading it again is also a waste of time. There might even be a tendency for you not to find the same copy to be downloaded again.

All these and more are some issues which will lead you to the importance of saving a back up copy for any PS3 games that you have bought. There are certain things that are beyond your control. As always; it is better to be safe than sorry. Thus, it would be a wise move if upon the moment of purchase or download, you save a back up copy of it immediately.

Now, if you worry about the process, you need not to. You can now buy software in which you can store all your games. This won’t cost you much. In fact, you can even get one for less than $30. All you need to do is to copy your new game in this software. Should anything wrong happen to your game due to some causes, you simply have to retrieve it using the software and you can play once again.See? This is how important saving a back up copy for your new PS3 game. You might not be able to realize that for now. However, if time comes when unwanted incidents take place, you will just be so grateful that you have saved a back up copy of your game.

I have a lot of video games, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. However, I am ashamed to admit that the sheer number of them used to end up piled up, laying around the house, and looking downright ugly. But things have changed, and I have invested time and energy into building some great video game storage that would keep them organized and looking good. Here’s some tips on what I’ve discovered.

For starters, you need to keep in mind that the games need to be kept protected from air and light, as both of these will ultimately cause damage to your games, if exposed long enough. To that end, I always make sure I keep my games in their cases when I’m not using them, and I never set the games or their cases anywhere that sunlight will pass over them. They’re too valuable to risk.

On the other hand, I like my games, and I wanted them set up so that I could show them off to my friends when they came over. I ultimately decided on a video game storage cabinet that would hold all my games. It would keep them set upright, similar to a bookshelf, so that I could arrange them however I wanted (alphabetical order, by console) and the cabinet itself would be closable, so that when I’m not using it there’s extra protection for my games from the air and light. And finally, the cabinet itself is set in the game room, which only has one window – and the cabinet is in a place where the sun never directly shines on it.

Overall, this has worked well for me, and I encourage you to look into a similar video game storage solution. By making sure your games are safe, you’re investing in their future value, which is never a bad idea.

Availabilty has been an on-going problem of gamers who want to buy a Nintendo Wii. Here’s the usual scenario, a gamer goes to an electronic store, he will be told by the salesman that there’s no stock available and just to comeback on a certain date when the new shipment arrives. So the gamer waits for weeks (sometimes months) and go back to the store on the date that he was asked to comeback. The problem is, yes the new stocks had arrived but it was sold out in less than an hour so the poor gamer has to wait again for the next shipment.

There are parts of the country though where there’s an abundance supply of Nintendo Wii but most of the time, it’s the other way around. You can purchase its accessories without a problem but not the Wii unit itself. But what are you going to do with a Wii controller or a Wii guitar controller if you don’t have the gaming console itself? This is where the frustration of many people begins. No one knows if Nintendo is doing it on purpose to make sure that all the units are sold out or if they just really can’t accomodate the huge demand from the public. Whatever it is, do not worry.

The good thing is there’s always a solution any problem. If you’re sick and tired of waiting and you can’t wait to own a brand new Nintendo Wii so you can start playing your favorite games, all you need to do is to type amazon or ebay in google or just go directly to their website. Once your there, just browse through their products and it’s next to impossible not to find a Nintendo Wii. In fact I checked those two websites before I started to write this article and I found brand new Nintendo Wii units for sale. Okay, there you have it, it’s that simple really. I Hope this short article helps you.

Microsoft’s preliminary introduction of its XBox Kinect last year means that Wii will get some serious competition in the market for motion sensing action games. Wii and its accessories and games got a head start a few years ago. But XBox Kinect now offers some clear cut advantages that will be apparent to live action gamers.

For Microsoft this is brand new territory. Its offerings will hold big appeal for the traditional video game player including twitch gamers and role-playing fans. While Microsoft has imitated Wii in some regards, its inclusion of motion-sensing equipment opens up a whole new world to XBox users. With its Kinect, it bypasses Wii players’ need to purchase extras by including more in the original product. In some ways it is easier to come second in the market; you can learn from those who have gone before. Kinect Games builds off successful ideas used earlier in the Wii.

Fitness Evolved, for example, takes its place in direct competition to Wii Fit. The advantage of XBox Kinect lies in the fact that no additions are needed for players to start upping their fitness levels immediately. Other companies are tying in with Kinect versions of such Wii staples as The Biggest Loser and Kinect Zumba Fitness. Kinect’s Joy Ride offers similar features and game play as the Mark Kart. Kinectimals lets you adopt and take care of a virtual pet just like Ninetendodogs.

Nintendo was once the big number when it came to innovations in motion-sensing games. XBox Kinect looks like it will become a major contender. Being first on stage has some advantages, but it also means finding out which games and accessories do not have much appeal. Wii completed that dirty job. Not it is up to XBox Kinect and Kinect Games to step up and prove their mettle in the market by bringing out great quality games with wide scale appeal.

Since Nintendo first came out with their motion-based game system, the Nintendo Wii, the folks at Microsoft and Sony quickly stepped up to bat and began working on their own motion-based games. With the newest Xbox 360, the gamer can add motion to their games via Kinect, a motion-based software provided by Microsoft. Sony advocates need not worry, though, as Playstation 3 will have their own motion-based games come this fall with Playstation Move and their line of PS Move games.

Playstation Move uses a motion controller similar yet different to the others. At the end of the controller is a sphere. With this sphere and the Playstation 3 Eye Camera, the user’s every move is precisely calculated and matched on-screen with the Move game being played. Delays and lag are a thing of the past, and the user will not be disappointed with the stunning visual graphics and real-time game play.

There are a couple Move games already available for purchase, as well as a cheap PS3 bundle that includes a game, with many more planning to come out once the Move hits stores this Fall. Out now for the Move are Heavy Rain, released in early February of 2010, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, available for purchase since June 2010. Heavy Rain is a psychological thriller with an “M” for Mature rating. Realism is a core essence to this game, as it takes the player through many twists and turns in the hunt for the Origami Killer. The player shifts and evolves the story with his or her choices, making replay value higher than many other games. With the added bonus of being compatible with the Playstation Move, this game is unlike any other out to date.

Other games to look forward to include SoCom 4: US Navy Seals, LittleBigPlanet 2, Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, The Sly Collection, and Time Crisis Razing Storm. Most of these games are set for release in Fall 2010, with a couple yet to be announced. There will also be many games where the Move is required in order to play, including but not limited to SingStar Dance, Heroes on the Move, Sorcery, The Shoot, and Brunswick Pro Bowling.

Although preloaded games are fun to play, if you want the most recent of games, then they will need to be downloaded onto your memory stick. This memory card is a tiny piece of hardware, but it can hold a large amount of data on a PSP. If your gaming console is an earlier model, then it may not have a memory stick included. If that is the case, you will have to buy a PSP memory card first before downloading any new games. They can either be ordered from the manufacturers, or eBay or Amazon. You will need to make sure the card is compatible with the kind of PSP you have.

Locating the games is the first task before downloading them to your memory card. One of the best places to look is the Online PlayStation store from Sony. It provides the newest released games that you can directly download from the websites. Some games will be free while others will need to be bought. There are also hundreds of other websites that provide the latest games to choose from. Newer consoles may not handle some games unless they are bought from the PSP store. The website you download from should be reliable and provide safe, high quality games, avoid games that contains cracks in them.

Once you have games on your PSP, you will then need to transfer them to your PSP card. The card can be connected using a USB cable, then you can place all your new games on it. A new card will need to be formatted before anything can be copied on it. Just copy all the downloaded games into a folder, and now you have a host of new games for your console. Each game should first be tested to make sure they are working well.

Memory Cards are becoming cheaper every day. The cost for production and technology has decreased dramatically in the last 5 years. So if you are looking for a cheap psp memory card you have a couple of options. Psp memory cards are usually memory stick duo or duo pro. They come in different capacity and price range. One of the best ideas is to visit you local computer store or computer retailer and search in the clearance bins. Almost all computer stores have these bins and they are usually a gold mine for all kinds of memory cards and data storage products.

Another way to obtain a cheap psp memory card would be the Internet. Clearance sites and auction sites often have people that are getting rid of old or outdated memory storage. Usually people buy larger capacity memory cards and practically give the old cards away. This makes for a great way to find previous models at a great discount price.

The memory cards for PSP have changed recently. It is important to check your device to be sure that the memory card you are purchasing is compatible with you device. There are different sizes for the memory stick pro and duo pro; so it is important to know what version fits your psp model. There are also PSP models that have a Hard Drive. Make sure your PSP supports psp memory cards before making the investment.

If you need some information on PSP memory cards you can visit the manufactures website and look under the technical specification for your model to clear up any doubts. You can also search the internet for user forums where you will find psp users that might let you know exactly what psp memory card is right for you and where to find it.

The big advantage of playing hand held games is that you can download games right from the internet using Rom files. So what exactly is a Rom? It’s an image file that contains copy of the data from a read-only memory chip, often coming from a video game cartridge. It’s usually used as emulation as if you are playing the game cartridge and using the hand held gaming console.

Now, gamers favor Nintendo DS Lite because of the vast nds games free download that are available online. So how exactly can you install an nds rom file into one of your Nintendo DS? Here’s how you should do it. Download first the rom that you want to install. Once you have downloaded it, you need to unzip the file using an unzipping application like Winzip or winrar. Then remove your microSD card from the cartridge of your hand held console and insert the microSD card to the miscroSD USB adaptor that comes with the Nintendo ds package when you bought your R4DS. Now insert the microSD USB adaptor to your computers usb port and it will automatically detect the adaptor.

Now you need to look for the file, it will be fairly easy to find, just go to my computer and you’ll see an additional external drive. Open it and copy the .NDS file you unzipped in the first step and paste it into the root directory of your microSD card. Do not copy the other files inside the zip file; you will only need the .NDS file. Now safely remove the microSD and return it to your hand held Nintendo ds lite.

Finally, you have just successfully copied your NDS Roms into your R4DS and are now ready to play the game. Try to open your DS Lite and you will be able to see and play the new game you’ve installed. If you want to add more games, you can follow the same procedure. So enjoy playing.

SNES games can often be valuable collectibles because of their scarcity. At the same time, SNES cartridges are rather durable investments, having been known to withstand a fair amount of abuse and still run perfectly well when entered into the console.

SNES collectible games can fall into several categories. Some games are collectible because they have become cult classics over time. Earthbound, for example, did not have much commercial success when it was originally released in America, so only a limited supply of copies exists. Now, however, the game has become popular among classic gamers, and it can be valued from 60 to 150 dollars.

Other SNES collectible games have become valuable, because they are the first in a long series of games. Harvest Moon was first published on SNES and has achieved greater commercial success on other consoles. The cartridge is thusly in high demand amongst collectors and gamers interested in the original release, similar to a first edition collectible. These cartridges can be found from 50 to 180 dollars.

Other SNES games are in high demand, because they receive wide acclaim from the gaming community for being some of the greatest games of all time, even being released with limited graphic capabilities. Chrono Trigger falls into this category, because its story and game play still secure the game a premium spot in most best-of lists from the game development community. Chrono Trigger has received so much acclaim that it garnered a re-release on the Nintendo DS, and its original SNES cartridges sell for 20 to 200 dollars.

Other games are collectible as limited editions and special releases. Donkey Kong Country, for example, received a special release through Blockbuster Video “Tournaments.” These “competition cartridges” were never released commercially, but often were added to the bargain bins at Blockbusters or released through Nintendo Power, as with Star Fox: Super Weekend. These collectibles can be sold for over 200 dollars.

SNES cartridges can potentially be very valuable collectibles, as they are still in high demand in the active cult gaming community, while often being in scarce supply. It is somewhat risky to trade SNES games through eBay, where you cant be sure you’re getting the best price, but it would be beneficial to keep track of what the cartridges are worth, in case you frequent yard sales or bargain bins.
